Her New Tribe celebrates the modern and the special with color-centric ceramic pieces, each of which is handmade in Austin. In their words, “stacked shapes, tiered totems, and small sculptures are hand-formed and fired in peaceful protest against the mass-produced and machine-made.” Sounds pretty good to us! Each pair comes in a special veg-tan leather pouch (also handmade,) which we recommend for storage when they're not on your ears. Ceramic is fragile, as you know if you've ever dropped a flowerpot, so treat them with care! It is also naturally porous, so your skincare and makeup might leave marks — just clean with soap and a gentle brush to make them look new again. You can also use lemon juice and water to brighten the brass connection loops, which will oxidize over time. (This won't damage the clay at all.)
